Chicks
on Cracks Level 1 will be held the weekend of October 14th & 15th. Our Level 1 event is aimed at women who have only a little climbing experience, and may never have even climbed outside before, and are wanting to take that next step. Some experience is necessary however, because we will be covering aspects of climbing that require some knowledge. The format for the weekend will be as follows.
Friday:
6.00 p.m. We all meet for registration. All our guides will
be present, and there will be introductions, and an outline of
the weekend.
Saturday:
8.00 a.m. Meet at Mondo Cafe. Bring all your gear for the day including food
and water (we will be out all day).
8.30
a.m. Transport to Wall Street. Our workshop will cover taping,
crack climbing techniques and climbing, basic rope safety skills.
6.00
p.m. Meet at Mondo Cafe for dinner and slide show.
Sunday:
8.00 a.m. meet at Mondo Cafe. Bring all your gear for the
day. We will go to the Ice Cream Parlor and review and advance on the techniques learnt on Saturday.
4.00
p.m. Return to Moab. Say goodbyes.
