Basic Introduction and the Next Step Rock Climbing Instruction
(Beginner - Intermediate)

Half and Full day classes available. For first time climbers or for those with limited experience. The main focus is having fun and spending a lot of time on the rock. You will learn the essential skills like belaying, rappelling, knot tying, climbing techniques and climbing safety.

Rock Master Rock Climbing Instruction
(Advanced)

Full and Multi day classes available.

This advanced climbing instruction is for those who have experience on the rock and want to take their climbing to the next level. The course will focus upon those skills which will most benefit your specific climbing goals and can be customized to your individual needs. You will learn advanced techniques on some of the finest routes in the desert and work with instructors who will expand the limits of your climbing ability.

Indian Creek

This is your chance to climb at the world famous crack climbing area, Indian Creek. Literally hundreds and hundreds of cracks soar up the steep sandstone walls that rise above the beautiful valley of Indian Creek. This is a magical and unique place to climb. Unless you have a huge desert rack equipped with many camming devices of the same size, you won't be able to climb these cracks - because of their parallel nature, some cracks can use as many as 10 camming devices of the same size. Your guide is fully equipped with such a rack, and can take you to the many sought after classics such as Super Crack, The Incredible Hand Crack and many more. This is the place to learn to crack climb. Indian Creek is only suited to those climbers with some experience. It is only available as a full day because of the distance of one hour's drive from Moab.

Towers

If you are looking for the ultimate climbing adventure, this is it. The sandstone towers stand proud above the desert floor, and their summits are a worthy goal. You will never forget the experience of climbing one of these desert giants. The guides of Moab Desert Adventures have the expertise and experience that will instill confidence and take you safely to one of these majestic summits.

Canyoneering

Hidden throughout the Utah desert are slot canyons carved deep into the ancient sandstone, often so narrow that you can touch both sides at once. These remote canyons see few visitors and only by the use of ropes for rappelling and moderate rock scrambling can their narrow passages be safely navigated. With our guides, you will journey into some of the most exotic and astonishingly beautiful canyons in the world. This is a great group activity and no experience is necessary as the required rappelling and rock scrambling skills will be taught as we explore these incredible canyons.

Family Canyoneering Adventures

A great family day out, a fantastic experience for the whole family. Lots of excitement and adventure and some great memories for the family photo album. Only applicable to our half day trips. Family rates apply to family of four - 2 adults and 2 kids (15 & under).

Rappelling

Corona Arch is a spectacular sandstone arch and rappelling from the top of the arch is a unique adventure with Moab Desert Adventures. It is a great group activity and we have entertained many different groups with this exhilarating trip. With a height of 140 feet, you will feel the big air beneath your feet as you slide down the rope from the arch's highest point. This is a true adventure for thrill seekers. This is a group activity and the minimum group size is 6 people. There will be a minimum of two guides. All equipment will be supplied including gloves.
