Architecturally designed to complement its surrounding environment, and enhanced by magnificent landscaping, the AICC occupies a land area of approximately 7 hectares and is centrally located on the South (Garki) end of Herbert Macaulay Way in the commercial heart of the FCC, about 40 KM (approx. 25 miles) from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and within a 5 KM radius of the major hotels in Abuja.

The facility serves as a dynamic venue for international trade discussions, business meetings, and social occasions and offers luxury, intimacy, refined dining, meeting and event space.
Adjacent to the AICC, on its South side, is the Abuja International Peace Park, which dates back to 1993 when the idea for a horticultural society was embraced by the then minister for the FCT, Major-General Jeremiah Useni, and the plot was proposed to develop a world standard park. The name of the park evolved and metamorphosed through “Abuja Horticultural Park”,
“Abuja Commonwealth Park”, and a host of others, into its current form, the “Abuja International Peace Park” – emphasizing the vision behind its founding.
The plot has in the interim been used as a Media Centre and extra parking for the AICC.
