POWER AFRICA

Sub-Saharan Africa is home to six of the world's ten fastest-growing economies, but two-thirds of the population lacks reliable electricity. Lack of sufficient power is the most significant infrastructure challenge in Africa, discouraging foreign investment and imposing significant social costs. Inadequate power is a tax on businesses and consumers, and a major impediment to healthy economic growth. We believe in the power of energy to fuel economic development, increase stability, and alleviate current unemployment trends in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Natural gas, the cleanest fossil fuel, is a highly efficient form of energy. Using natural gas as fuel produces less carbon dioxide, which is the primary greenhouse gas; sulphur dioxide, which is the primary precursor of acid rain; NOx, which is the primary precursor of smoke; and particulate matter, which can affect health.

This makes Natural gas the best choice as fuel for our solutions since it provides clean energy at a competitive price. Natural gas is a serious option to be considered where the infrastructure is available. It is the optimum solution in all regions of the world, especially in emerging markets like Africa. Natural Gas also matches the requirements to develop Greenfield projects in under-served markets such as the Sub-Saharan African region.
