The Mohican

This is the solo tent I made for the first 1013 miles of the PCT.
It is made of camo rip-stop nylon,
and utilizes my hiking poles for the frame.

The Mohican is a basic A-frame pup tent;
the floor measuring 44 inches wide, by 72 inches long,
with a center height of 38 inches.

Six stakes are needed for set up,
with a guy rope front and back.
The back window has a simple over lapping split storm cover,
There are no zippers to fail.
There is a front vestibule, 44 inches wide by 24 deep,
for wet weather cooking and gear.

It weighs 2 pounds 3 ounces, with guy ropes. (35 ounces).

A silnylon version, 90 inches long, is now being made. It will weigh 21 ounces, approximately, and have the same features. Its vestibule will be 36 inches deep.

This view allows one to see through the tent, showing the window at the back. There is a split storm window closure, and it is bathtubbed to a depth of 10 inches.
