Performance
Calling a loved one
[in conjunction with Lee Walton's Simultaneous Performances and The Kitchen]

Sixteen selected artists were asked to create and execute a series of "momentary performances" to take place in various locations throughout the Chelsea District of Manhattan. Each peformance took place on July 28th exactly at Noon. Each artist was free to orchestrate any imaginable performance following six simple rules:

1. Each performance must happen in the Chelsea District of Manhattan.
2. Each performance must happen exactly at Noon.
3. A specific location/site must be decided for the performance.
4. Each performance must be executed by the artist that created it.
5. Each performance must be momentary.
6. Each performance must "graze" reality and appear to be life-like in its manner.
