Dr. Rose Schneier, FAAP, FACE

Dr. Schneier is Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. After 29 years in the practice of Pediatric Endocrinology in several locations across the country (most recently at the ‘Specially for Children Clinic in Austin), she has established a practice serving the endocrine needs of Teens (ages 10-17) to Young Adults
(ages 18-25) at Austin Thyroid & Endocrinology.

Dr. Schneier and her staff are dedicated to providing caring, comprehensive, and efficient evaluation and treatment for Teens and Young Adults with health issues involving the Endocrine System. Her association with Dr. Simone Scumpia, the founder of Austin Thyroid & Endocrinology and a highly respected Adult Endocrinologist, provides our young adult patients a seamless transition to Adult Endocrine care under one roof.

ROSE L. SCHNEIER MD, FAAP, FACE is the director of the Teen and Young Adult Endocrinology Program at Austin Thyroid & Endocrinology.

• Graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, 1971-75
• Pediatric Residency at St Christopher’s Hospital / Temple University School of Medicine (Philadelphia Pennsylvania), 1975-78.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, 1978-80.
• Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology (1980).

Dr Schneier has practiced as both a General Pediatrician and Pediatric Endocrinologist in Pennsylvania, California, Arizona and Alabama before moving to Austin in 2003. She has served as Clinical Associate Professor at Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia), UCLA (California) and University of Alabama, Birmingham.

From 2003 to June 2009 Dr Schneier has practiced at ‘Specially for Children, a pediatric multispecialty clinic affiliated with Dell Children’s Medical Center/Seton Healthcare System.
