The square is constructed on a land measuring approximately 5 hectares made up of seating, parade (3Ha) and parking (2Ha) areas. The square has a total seating capacity of 5,106 comprising:-

(i) 1,566 seats covered VIP pavilion;
(ii) 3,450 seats covered popular area divided into 2 pairs of pavilions flanking the VIP pavilion.
The VIP pavilion has 2 furnished Presidential Boxes with attached convenience facilities,
VIP Lounges, Admin office, Electro Control Room, ceiling fans, 4Nos. split air
conditioners and floodlights on 3-self supporting stands.
The popular pavilions are equipped with 4 blocks of toilets with provisions for male and female WCs, 3- urinary and wash hand basins.
The car park is located behind the square and is designed to accommodate about 300 cars.
The perimeter of the square is fenced with galvanized iron chain-link wire and has two
gated entrances.
Power supply is from two generating sets of 180 and 725 KVA Mobile type as the Square is not connected to the FCT electricity mains while water supply is from mobile water tankers. There are, however, no on-ground telecommunications facilities.
